Superb Bison Bushcraft Handmade Knife Scandi Grind Blade and Leather Friction Sheath

Bison Bushcraft knives are completely handmade from the best steels available. This small knife is made from 01 High Carbon tool steel, and as Roger Harrington explains on his website "often referred to as gauge plate or ground flat stock (GFS) this is the closest you can get to traditional high carbon tool steel. The 1% carbon gives it excellent edge holding capabilities and it is easy to sharpen. It is in no way stainless and should be cleaned after use and kept oiled. However over time it builds up a dark grey patina that adds to its corrosion resistance. Normally hardened to 59hrc".

With a beautiful hardwood handle and featuring bespoke pins, this full tang small Bushcraft knife is completed by a handmade full grain leather sheath. Each knife is individually tested ensuring it is hard enough to achieve a sharp edge and still able to maintain the toughness required to cope with the most demanding of bushcraft & carving work.

Pre-Owned and fully maintained, this hand crafted tool shows some signs of wear and has been sharpened. As with all Roger Harrington knives, this is a lovely example of a small Bushcraft carving knife made with the knowledge and passion for the craft.
