British L.1.A.4. Bayonet (no Scabbard)

A good L.1.A.4. bayonet and a scarce model in the L1 Series of bayonets. (Reference: Skennerton B324 pages 262 & 263 for full details)

The grips are marked L.1.A.4. 9600259 and S.M. The pommel is stamped 'R' on one side and 'C' on the other side. The straight sided crossguard is stamped 'C' to the left of the blade. The blade is parkerised and has the long fuller. The L.1A.4. bayonet was made by Hopkinsons of Sheffield. 

This is a Pre-owned item and shows sign of use and sharpening to the blade, missing its scabbard and frog. In good condition - see photos for further condition information.
