You open the Griploc with the thumb stud or flipper or opening with both hands in the normal way. Incredibly flexible, but perhaps at first glance, this knife does not appear to be that special.
This knife however is very special indeed, with special design and use features. Via an ingenious system, the lower part of the handle moves forward. Because you hold the knife in your hand the parts stay in place. This also means that you can close the knife whenever you would like. You may wish to use the manual lock. This can be found at the "heal" of the handle. Flick the switch and the blade is locked.

This knife is now discontinued and there will be no further production of this superb design from Boker.
