About the Maker – Al Mar Knives

Al Mar's journey in the cutlery industry began in 1968 when he joined forces with Pete Gerber at Gerber Legendary Blades. His sharp instincts for design helped shape Gerber's knife offerings until 1977. In 1978, with a passion to create something truly unique, Al Mar founded his own company, Al Mar Knives.
