USA Ontario Knife Tru-Edge Bowie with Stacked Leather Handle - no sheath

Overall length 38.5cm - 15.25" in old money! with a blade length of 23cm to the choil with a recasso of 2cm before the brass finger guard.

The handle is stacked leather and wood with a brass pommel.

The blade looks to be a high carbon content mix but with no stamps its difficult to tell by eye other than the marking.

The spine is a solid 5mm thick with a false edge to the top front of the blade.

Supplied in a cardboard sleeve for protection - no sheath.

This is a Pre-owned knife from a private collection with signs of use and sharpening but nothing to worry an experienced knife collector who would have it back to a fine edge in no time at all. This would make an excellent backwoods knife and has plenty of life left yet.
