A Classic Iron Mistress Bowie, Smithsonian Style & Made in the U.S. J. Rouse is a skilled custom knife maker from North Carolina, and an outstanding craftsman.
The handle is made from high-grade walnut attached with brass pins. The mirror polished blade is made from high carbon tool steel, and has a razor sharp edge. The blade is a thick 6mm and is etched with Rouse's initials (JR). The hand guard and pommel are polished brass.
It has no defects and is a lovely example of the design. A must for any serious Bowie collector.
Measuring 50cm overall, this bowie includes a 32.5cm, 6mm wide 1095 high carbon steel blade. The handle is Ebony with brass fittings.
This is a Pre-owned knife from a private collection, there a no signs of use or sharpening. There is no sheath with this knife. It is many years since we were able to offer an example of this quality.
